So I had my ballet exam yesterday!! I feel good about it. I don't get my results until September, though! I'm really anxious to know! :) All in all, it went very well, and the examiner was really nice, so that helps a lot with not being so nervous :D
So next year I'll be moving onto the next level, Intermediate. Everything in the vocational levels (after grade 5) is changing, so all the choreography will be new. So Intermediate will be completely different than the people who just took their intermediate exams. My ballet teachers have said that it's really nice, and pretty. :D
Another thing I'm excited for is that my dance school is doing a ballet production of Alice in Wonderland for Christmas!! :) It's going to be a lot of fun! I'm going to read the book soon, because I don't really remember what the story's about. :P

Exam!!
OK. First off I haven't posted on this blog for ages. Sorry about that!!
Well, it's summer now! (Yay!) But that means that dance AND piano classes are over. So sad :( BUT I have been having ballet classes 3 times a week last week, and this week, to prepare for my ballet exam. Don't worry, it's not a bad exam, like school exams where you have to sit at a desk with a paper and pen, and answer questions. Ballet exams are better because you actually dance!! I hope I do well :) It's on July 26. The problem is that it's at 9am, so I have to be there around quarter after 8, but it's like an hour/hour and a half drive to get there, so I'll have to wake up at 6am! :\ Don't know how I'll manage that!!
Me and the two other girls who are taking the exam have been working very, very hard, so hopefully the hard work pays off! Really, the only part I'm nervous about is the "Free Enchainment" It's where the examiner verbally tells us dance moves, into a mini routine, and then we have a bit of time to practice/figure it out, and then BOOM! We have to dance it to music. Especially some of the moves. There are certain moves that can either go "over" or "under" but the offical names for "over" and "under" are "dessus" and "dessous". Yes, to opposite words that are SO similar in pronunciation. So, I hope the examiner says over and under also. Not just dessus and dessous. It's just confusing.:P
But all in all, I feel good about the exam, and I'll get the hang of the dessus and dessous thing. ;)

Competitions!
It's that time of year again.... competitions! :) On Friday I have my musical theatre, Addams Family competition, and then on Saturday I have my ballet, pirates of the carribean one! And as I was telling you about the ending for the pirates of the carribean dance, we are doing the "The End", so us pirates die. :P
I have both my costumes for them, and I LOVE them. They're so fun, and when I wear them, I seriously can get into my character better!
We've been working very hard on our dances, and I hope that the judges see that! Both the dances are so much fun. I just l♥ve them!

Company Ballet :)
As I have told you before, in our competetive ballet, we're doing Pirates of the Carribean. :) It is SO much fun!!! It's definetly one of my favourite ballet dances I've done! :) We kind of finished it last week. You see, my ballet teacher has two ideas for the ending, so she taught us one on Wednesday, but then she's going to teach us a different ending next week, and then decide which one is better! The one we learnt already is a "to be continued" kind of, but the one we will learn will be more of a finish to the battle, and may have some deaths in it, since the dance is a battle, between sea maidens and the pirates. :D I'm a pirate (i'm not sure if I've already said this in a post before)! It's such a thrilling, and dramatic dance!!! :D I love it SO much!

Ballet Exams
Well, as I've said before, I'm in Intermediate Foundation ballet. It's LOADS of fun! :) Anyways, it's exciting, because we're talking about exams now! (haha, I know, exams are usually awful things, but ballet exams are different. You get to dance, not answer pages and pages of questions. :P) They are kind of nerve racking, but also fun! It is still a long way to go for my ballet exam, though because it's in the summer. (unless I'm on holidays at the time... then I'll have it in the fall.) But my ballet teachers say I'll be ready to do it in the summer! :D
Since exams are coming nearer, we have to work really hard. (not that I don't work my hardest in class.) We just have to focus more on all the details, and improving, instead of learning all the excercises.
By the way, I hope you all had a magnificent Christmas!!
Well, now I have to go practice my trumpet! :) Bye bye!
