Exam finished!

So I had my ballet exam yesterday!! I feel good about it. I don't get my results until September, though! I'm really anxious to know! :) All in all, it went very well, and the examiner was really nice, so that helps a lot with not being so nervous :D

So next year I'll be moving onto the next level, Intermediate. Everything in the vocational levels (after grade 5) is changing, so all the choreography will be new. So Intermediate will be completely different than the people who just took their intermediate exams. My ballet teachers have said that it's really nice, and pretty. :D

Another thing I'm excited for is that my dance school is doing a ballet production of Alice in Wonderland for Christmas!! :) It's going to be a lot of fun! I'm going to read the book soon, because I don't really remember what the story's about. :P

Exam!!

OK. First off I haven't posted on this blog for ages. Sorry about that!!

Well, it's summer now! (Yay!) But that means that dance AND piano classes are over. So sad :( BUT I have been having ballet classes 3 times a week last week, and this week, to prepare for my ballet exam. Don't worry, it's not a bad exam, like school exams where you have to sit at a desk with a paper and pen, and answer questions. Ballet exams are better because you actually dance!! I hope I do well :) It's on July 26. The problem is that it's at 9am, so I have to be there around quarter after 8, but it's like an hour/hour and a half drive to get there, so I'll have to wake up at 6am! :\ Don't know how I'll manage that!!

Me and the two other girls who are taking the exam have been working very, very hard, so hopefully the hard work pays off! Really, the only part I'm nervous about is the "Free Enchainment" It's where the examiner verbally tells us dance moves, into a mini routine, and then we have a bit of time to practice/figure it out, and then BOOM! We have to dance it to music. Especially some of the moves. There are certain moves that can either go "over" or "under" but the offical names for "over" and "under" are "dessus" and "dessous". Yes, to opposite words that are SO similar in pronunciation. So, I hope the examiner says over and under also. Not just dessus and dessous. It's just confusing.:P

But all in all, I feel good about the exam, and I'll get the hang of the dessus and dessous thing. ;)
